TEA CUP TUESDAY

Today I am sharing with you a tea cup and saucer that is very special for this time of year. About 12 years ago, my husband and I were in an Antique Mall and it was getting close to my Birthday and I spotted a set of dishes that reminded me of my Grandmothers dishes. It was not a complete set, but the price was right and I loved the brown and green color, so for my Birthday my husband bought me the set. When I got home I did a little research on them and found out that they still make this china, so I was able to complete the set a service for 12. They are Johnson Brothers, which are made in England and the name of it is The Friendly Village. I use this china just for Thanksgiving each year, I have amber stem wear and glasses, so it makes for a very beautiful table with very fall like colors. I will be getting this china out on Thursday and washing it by hand and setting a very pretty table. Thank you Martha and Terri for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday. You can click the button on my side bar to see everyone's cup and saucers for today. I want to thank everyone for visiting me today and wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs, Terri

THE CROWNS I MADE

I hosted a swap with the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group, it was a crown swap. I had two partners and these are the crown's I made for them. You could pick the color of the crown you wanted, the first crown is for Debi Huntsman of lifeinmystudio she wanted a crown done in nuetrals, I really enjoyed making this for her, she is such a sweet person and a wonderful friend.

The second crown I made is for Lisa Hessabi, she does not have a blog. She wanted a crown done in pink and aqua. I first had trouble, it was hard to put these two colors together. But once I got into it, I had fun. I hope she likes it. Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Terri

A WONDERFUL NEW SWAP

We are having a wonderful swap on the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group, hosted by Terri Heinz. It is the Marie Doll Gift Box Swap. We are all making our own Marie doll, but the swap is a beautiful decorated box filled with beautiful materials and trims and items to make your own doll a beautiful outfit. The first pictures are of the box that I received from Terri Heinz, I love the beautiful box that she made me, it is my favorite color and I love the beautiful roses she put on top, then when you open the beautiful box, she has made a lovely pocket filled with trims, feather, leather for her shoes and beautiful china flowers. She also has such beautiful material, Duponi Silk, lace, beautiful prints. I am so excited to start my doll and then dress her. Check back in about a month to see my finished doll.

These are pictures are of the box that I made and sent to Rella. I asked her what color she would like and she said Creams and Rose, so I had fun making her box and decorating it and then the best part is filling it. I really enjoyed putting this box together for her. I can't wait to see what she creates with all the supplies that I gave her.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Terri

TEA CUP TUESDAY

Hi Everyone, today is Tea Cup Tuesday and I would like to share a tea cup that I purchased a few weeks ago at the Treasure Mart, I did a link on the last Tea Cup Tuesday post. I also purchased this lovely tea pot, which was a great deal, the price was $35.00, but it had been there for a few months and I got it for $16.00, the tea pot is made in Germany and I love the beautiful flowers on it. I was shocked that no one had purchased it. The tea cup is a unique one. It has no markings, but I love the roses and the mint green color of it and also the gold on it. It is also a larger cup and saucer and it is a mustache cup, which is different. I have never seen a mustache cup have a saucer before. Well I want to thank Martha and Terri for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday and please click on the tea cup on my side bar and visit all others who have joined today. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I hope you are having a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri
